MaruPRIME wins WCS Korea
August 13, 2013 – Taipei, Taiwan – MaruPRIME became the youngest World Championship Series winner in history as he triumped over the highly-favored player SKT.Rain in the WCS Korea grand finals on Saturday. As he became one of the most unlikely winners in WCS history, Maru had friends and family as well as his famous teammates in the audience cheering him on.
On his road to victory, Maru defeated highly-touted players such as Symbol and world-famous INnoVation to prove that his skill and tactics were ahead of everyone else. He displayed some cheesy builds that relied on relentless aggression to win him games, similar to that of his famous teammate MarineKingPRIME.
Tt eSPORTS is very proud of Maru and we’re hoping he can continue to follow his dreams and become the best Starcraft II player in the world. Saturday’s WCS Korea victory brings him one step closer to being the #1 ranked player as he participates in the upcoming WCS World Championship.
